Mas, agora, cientistas da Universidade de Utah, nos Estados Unidos, descobriram um novo tipo de c\u00e9lula na retina.<\/p>\n<p>Publicada no Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences, dos Estados Unidos, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pnas.org\/content\/118\/44\/e2104884118\">a pesquisa<\/a> encontrou um tipo at\u00e9 ent\u00e3o desconhecido de interneur\u00f4nio na retina de mam\u00edferos.<\/p>\n<p>Em seguida, saiba mais sobre o estudo, como foi realizado e os pr\u00f3ximos passos.<\/p>\n<h2>A pesquisa<\/h2>\n<p>No sistema nervoso central, um circuito complexo de neur\u00f4nios se comunica entre si para transmitir informa\u00e7\u00f5es sensoriais e motoras. Os \u201cinterneur\u00f4nios\u201d atuam como intermedi\u00e1rios na cadeia de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Pesquisadores do John A. Moran Eye Center, da Universidade de Utah (EUA), identificaram um novo tipo de interneur\u00f4nio na retina de mam\u00edferos. A nova c\u00e9lula n\u00e3o se encaixa nas cinco atuais classes de neur\u00f4nios da retina: fotorreceptores, c\u00e9lulas horizontais, c\u00e9lulas bipolares, c\u00e9lulas am\u00e1crinas e as c\u00e9lulas end\u00f3genas. Isso porque h\u00e1 diferen\u00e7as apresentadas em sua morfologia, fisiologia e propriedades gen\u00e9ticas.<\/p>\n<p>Desse modo, os cientistas respons\u00e1veis pela descoberta prop\u00f5em que esse novo tipo de c\u00e9lula deve pertencer a uma nova classe de neur\u00f4nios da retina.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/phelcom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/como-funciona-olho-humano.jpg\" data-lbwps-width=\"1080\" data-lbwps-height=\"464\" data-lbwps-srcsmall=\"https:\/\/phelcom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/como-funciona-olho-humano-300x129.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1258\" src=\"https:\/\/phelcom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/como-funciona-olho-humano-1024x440.jpg\" alt=\"novo tipo de c\u00e9lula na retina\" width=\"1024\" height=\"440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/phelcom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/como-funciona-olho-humano-1024x440.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/phelcom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/como-funciona-olho-humano-600x258.jpg 600w, https:\/\/phelcom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/como-funciona-olho-humano-300x129.jpg 300w, https:\/\/phelcom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/como-funciona-olho-humano-768x330.jpg 768w, https:\/\/phelcom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/como-funciona-olho-humano.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A equipe denominou a descoberta de \u201cc\u00e9lula de Campana\u201d por causa do formato semelhante a um sino de m\u00e3o. A descoberta une dois tipos celulares, cones e bastonetes, e faz um processamento extra nas c\u00e9lulas. Assim, retransmitem sinais visuais de ambos os tipos de bastonetes fotorreceptores e cones fotorreceptores na retina, mas seu prop\u00f3sito preciso \u00e9 o assunto de pesquisas em andamento.<\/p>\n<p>Experimentos mostraram que as c\u00e9lulas Campana permanecem ativadas por um tempo incomumente longo &#8211; at\u00e9 30 segundos &#8211; em resposta a um est\u00edmulo de flash de luz de 10 milissegundos.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No c\u00e9rebro, acredita-se que as c\u00e9lulas de disparo persistente estejam envolvidas na mem\u00f3ria e no aprendizado.
