Isso porque alguns procedimentos que podem identificar sinais da doen\u00e7a apresentam altos custos, como tomografia computadorizada e resson\u00e2ncia magn\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m disso, milh\u00f5es de pessoas no mundo n\u00e3o tem acesso \u00e0 essas tecnologias. Atualmente, cerca de 6,3 milh\u00f5es sofrem com o problema, de acordo com a Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial de Sa\u00fade (OMS).<\/p>\n<p>Outro desafio \u00e9 a detec\u00e7\u00e3o precoce, j\u00e1 que os primeiros sintomas s\u00f3 se manifestam com o avan\u00e7o da doen\u00e7a. Neste sentido, uma nova pesquisa dos Estados Unidos desenvolveu uma forma mais barata de diagnosticar o dist\u00farbio: intelig\u00eancia artificial aplicada no exame da retina. Os resultados foram apresentados na \u00faltima reuni\u00e3o anual da Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).<\/p>\n<p>Em seguida, conhe\u00e7a o estudo, como foi feito e como os resultados alcan\u00e7ados auxiliam na democratiza\u00e7\u00e3o do acesso \u00e0 sa\u00fade.<\/p>\n<h2>A pesquisa<\/h2>\n<p>Pesquisadores da Universidade da Fl\u00f3rida (EUA) usaram o princ\u00edpio de <a href=\"https:\/\/phelcom.com\/blog\/machine-learning-na-medicina\/\">aprendizado de m\u00e1quina<\/a> para criar uma ferramenta de <a href=\"https:\/\/phelcom.com\/blog\/inteligencia-artificial-na-oftalmologia\/\">intelig\u00eancia artificial<\/a> que aprende a <a href=\"https:\/\/press.rsna.org\/timssnet\/media\/pressreleases\/14_pr_target.cfm?ID=2229\">detectar ind\u00edcios da doen\u00e7a de Parkinson em exames da retina<\/a>. Para isso, treinaram a \u201cm\u00e1quina de vetores de suporte\u201d com imagens da parte de tr\u00e1s do olho de pacientes portadores da enfermidade e de participantes de controle, sem o dist\u00farbio.<\/p>\n<p>Como o problema deteriora as c\u00e9lulas nervosas e, consequentemente, afina as paredes da retina, um simples exame de fundo de olho j\u00e1 consegue diagnostic\u00e1-lo. A doen\u00e7a tamb\u00e9m danifica a microvasculatura da retina.<\/p>\n<h2>Os resultados<\/h2>\n<p>Os resultados demostram que o mal de Parkinson pode ser diagnosticado a partir de altera\u00e7\u00f5es na retina. Atualmente, diversos estudos comprovam que <a href=\"https:\/\/phelcom.com\/blog\/biomarcador-doencas-neurodegenerativas-olhos\/\">danos no c\u00e9rebro podem ser observados por meio dos olhos<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A descoberta mais importante foi que uma doen\u00e7a cerebral foi diagnosticada com uma imagem simples do olho.
