O objetivo era ajudar pessoas que sofriam de comprometimento da retina e da vis\u00e3o como o seu irm\u00e3o mais velho, Welber Lencione.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Welber foi diagnosticado com alta miopia aos sete meses de vida. Durante a inf\u00e2ncia, chegou a ter 17 graus. A principal dificuldade da doen\u00e7a \u00e9 conseguir enxergar objetos distantes com nitidez. Contudo, para quem tem alto grau, os sintomas s\u00e3o ainda mais graves e impactam significativamente a qualidade de vida.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Na escola, enxergar as letras pequenas na lousa era um verdadeiro desafio para Welber. \u201cPara eu conseguir ver bem, preciso me aproximar bastante do celular, computador ou da televis\u00e3o, por exemplo. Sem os \u00f3culos n\u00e3o consigo nem sair de casa\u201d, explica.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A miopia elevada pode causar uma s\u00e9rie de complica\u00e7\u00f5es oculares e danos significativos \u00e0 vis\u00e3o. Aos 11 anos, Welber sofreu descolamento da retina em ambos os olhos. Na \u00e9poca, ficou internado em um hospital durante dois meses para realizar o tratamento.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aos 18 anos, teve um novo epis\u00f3dio de descolamento de retina, tamb\u00e9m nos dois olhos. Por\u00e9m, j\u00e1 existia a t\u00e9cnica de cirurgia a laser. No mesmo dia, voltou para casa. Desde ent\u00e3o, n\u00e3o teve mais complica\u00e7\u00f5es e a miopia caiu para 11 graus nos \u00faltimos anos. \u201cTudo isso fez eu crescer bastante interiormente. No final, o tempo vai passando e as coisas v\u00e3o se acertando\u201d, reflete.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Atualmente, Welber leva uma vida produtiva e repleta de conquistas. H\u00e1 sete anos, come\u00e7ou a correr. \u201cN\u00e3o tenho nenhuma dificuldade relacionada \u00e0 minha vis\u00e3o. Me sinto 100% eu na corrida\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O atleta participa de competi\u00e7\u00f5es em S\u00e3o Carlos (SP) e regi\u00e3o h\u00e1 tr\u00eas anos. Para se preparar, treina no pr\u00f3prio bairro, dia sim e dia n\u00e3o, na companhia de alguns colegas. Em janeiro, conquistou algo in\u00e9dito: completou uma maratona, em Ribeir\u00e3o Preto (SP).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video aligncenter\"><video height=\"1280\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 720 \/ 1280;\" width=\"720\" controls src=\"https:\/\/phelcom.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Video_Welber_Lencione_e_o_filho_Andrew_maratona_Ribeirao_Preto.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Welber ganhou a companhia do filho, Andrew, nos \u00faltimos 100 metros da Maratona de Ribeir\u00e3o Preto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Welber revela que tem vontade de repetir a dose, mas na famosa Corrida Internacional de S\u00e3o Silvestre, que ocorre anualmente em 31 de dezembro, na cidade de S\u00e3o Paulo. O empecilho? \u201c\u00c9 uma data muito ruim\u201d, brinca.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inspira\u00e7\u00e3o<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Na primeira cirurgia de Welber, Diego tinha quatro anos de idade. Ele precisou passar dias longe do t\u00e3o querido irm\u00e3o e da m\u00e3e, que ficou com o primog\u00eanito por dois meses no hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante a inf\u00e2ncia e adolesc\u00eancia, Diego acompanhou toda a jornada do irm\u00e3o. \u201cQuando cresci, a vida foi me levando para outras \u00e1reas e acabei cursando F\u00edsica. Criamos algo que possibilitou vermos com nitidez as altera\u00e7\u00f5es na retina dele e que, em breve, seria \u00fatil para muitas outras pessoas. Muitas vezes, ao longo da hist\u00f3ria da Phelcom, me vi voltando a essa ess\u00eancia, especialmente nos momentos mais dif\u00edceis da empresa\u201d, revela.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E o irm\u00e3o continua sendo fonte de inspira\u00e7\u00e3o para Diego. H\u00e1 pouco tempo, o ca\u00e7ula fez uma nova retinografia em Welber com o aux\u00edlio do <a href=\"https:\/\/phelcom.com\/pt-br\/produtos\/eyermaps\/\">EyerMaps<\/a>, sistema de Intelig\u00eancia Artificial (IA) que roda embarcado no Eyer&nbsp;e detecta com alta acur\u00e1cia qualquer suspeita de anormalidades retinianas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A IA apontou a presen\u00e7a de algo novo no fundo do olho de Welber. \u201cMeu irm\u00e3o at\u00e9 desconfiou de um novo descolamento de retina. Mas, com mais exames, o oftalmologista concluiu que \u00e9 uma esp\u00e9cie de membrana que nasceu no local e que n\u00e3o afeta a vis\u00e3o\u201d, conta, aliviado.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sobre a Phelcom&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Phelcom Technologies \u00e9 uma medtech brasileira sediada em S\u00e3o Carlos, interior de S\u00e3o Paulo.
