A startup Phelcom Technologies acaba de bater um recorde: a fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o do seu 100\u00ba Eyer, retin\u00f3grafo port\u00e1til que realiza exames de retina pelo smartphone. Inovador no mercado, o aparelho foi lan\u00e7ado em abril e j\u00e1 possui fila de espera. \u201cO Eyer foi muito bem aceito pelos m\u00e9dicos, tanto que alcan\u00e7amos a nossa meta de produ\u00e7\u00e3o com bastante anteced\u00eancia\u201d, revela o <\/span>cofundador e CEO da Phelcom, Jos\u00e9 Augusto Stuchi.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

O equipamento j\u00e1 est\u00e1 presente em todas as regi\u00f5es do Brasil. Inclusive, em institui\u00e7\u00f5es como USP, Unifesp, Hospital Albert Einstein e Santa Casa de S\u00e3o Paulo. At\u00e9 o momento, mais de cinco mil exames foram feitos. O objetivo \u00e9 impactar 50 mil pessoas logo no primeiro ano de lan\u00e7amento.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

O Eyer funciona por meio de tecnologia m\u00f3vel e telemedicina. Os dados dos exames s\u00e3o disponibilizados no sistema de nuvem EyerCloud e o diagn\u00f3stico pode ser feito remotamente. \u201cAliado \u00e0<\/span> portabilidade e o custo baixo, o Eyer democratiza o acesso aos exames de retina para mais pessoas. Isso principalmente em comunidades afastadas e em regi\u00f5es com infraestrutura deficiente em sa\u00fade. O aparelho funciona acoplado a um smartphone e realiza exames de retina de alta qualidade, em poucos minutos e sem a necessidade de dilata\u00e7\u00e3o da pupila. Por ser integrado \u00e0 nuvem, disponibiliza automaticamente os dados na plataforma online EyerCloud para serem analisados por um especialista em qualquer lugar do mundo. Ou seja, permite o diagn\u00f3stico remoto.<\/span><\/p>\n

O Eyer visa auxiliar no combate \u00e0 defici\u00eancia visual grave e cegueira mundial, que atingem mais de 250 milh\u00f5es de pessoas e ocorre em mais de 75% dos casos por falta de preven\u00e7\u00e3o e correto tratamento.<\/span><\/p>\n
