A descoberta, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41586-022-04709-x\">publicada na revista Nature<\/a>, pode transformar a pesquisa sobre o c\u00e9rebro e a vis\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Em seguida, entenda como o estudo utilizou a retina como modelo do sistema nervoso central para investigar como os neur\u00f4nios morrem e novos m\u00e9todos para \u201cressuscit\u00e1-los\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>A pesquisa<\/h2>\n<p>Os cientistas conseguiram despertar c\u00e9lulas fotorreceptoras na m\u00e1cula humana em olhos obtidos at\u00e9 cinco horas ap\u00f3s a morte. Essas c\u00e9lulas responderam \u00e0 luz brilhante, luzes coloridas e at\u00e9 mesmo flashes de luz muito fracos.<\/p>\n<p>Enquanto os experimentos iniciais reviveram os fotorreceptores, as c\u00e9lulas pareciam ter perdido a capacidade de se comunicar com a retina.\u00a0Ent\u00e3o, os pesquisadores identificaram a priva\u00e7\u00e3o de oxig\u00eanio como o fator cr\u00edtico da perda de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Para superar esse desafio, a equipe avaliou tecidos at\u00e9 20 minutos ap\u00f3s a morte.
